Who doesn’t know about the Honda Prologue? The first commercial electric SUV by Honda will launch next year worldwide. The clock is ticking!
If you don’t contact the Honda officials and book your Prologue, you may miss out on the first lot of deliveries and wait longer.
We will help you clear your doubts regarding the Prologue 2024. If our article on the first look at the Honda Prologue is not enough, we will present the Prologue from a different perspective.
Our article today will describe why you should pre-order the Honda Prologue and how, including the deep features of the Prologue. Let’s begin.
The Honda Prologue 2024: Here’s Why It’s Worth to Pre-Order
Honda and General Motors stopped working together a few days ago. The Prologue was built on a joint platform with General Motors before that. And the Prologue shares the same Ultium battery pack that’s been used in the new EVs of GM. Moreover, the Prologue shares similar components to the GM’s special Equinox EV.
What to Expect from the Honda Prologue?
The Prologue project is led by the design team in Los Angeles. The model is nothing you have ever seen with other Honda models, and it’s a brand new design all inside and out.
The EV promotes the fresh intelligence of a young group of engineers. The simple lines of the Prologue leave a sleek and fresh impression that appeals to the users.
The Prologue uses the components of nature both in the exterior and the interior. Honda engineers termed it “neo-rugged” for better work direction, clearly visible with the panoramic sunroof and wide 21-inch wheels.
However, the panoramic sunroof is an EX trim special feature. The Prologue Touring replaces it with roof rails, which you may prefer.
Additionally, you have a solid and grounding look with the Prologue every inch and out. It gets more unique following the design of the Honda e EV models.
The Branded ‘H-Mark’
The new Prologue solidifies Honda’s identity. To further ado this, the design team replaced the traditional “H-mark” on the rear of the Prologue with the complete brand name, Honda.
It comes in a styled typeface that complements the Prologue’s contemporary and modern design. The Prologue will also use the badge from the e-series name; after all, it is an EV and deserves it.
Statements on Honda Prologue
Masaki Sumimoto, design lead for the Color, Materials, and Finish of Honda said,
“Our goal was to create a clean harmony based on a rugged SUV image by coordinating the colors and materials to express neo-rugged design styling that’s familiar to our customers and uniquely Honda,”
Masaki further explained that the new Honda Prologue promotes tidiness and balance that equally syncs with the design of an SUV, but more. Honda engineers successfully developed linear color options and materials that uphold the familiar neo-rugged style for consumers.
It’s a homely Honda SUV that features the power of an EV and the minimalistic style of the e-EV.
Elegant Inside & Out
There’s nothing new to add about the interior of the Prologue. It’s a spacious interior inside the Prologue, with over 2900 liters. If comfort has another name, it should end at the Prologue with enough breathable room for passengers and cargo.
Honda left no stone unturned with the Prologue as it’s the first global electric SUV of the brand. The car is stuffed with modern technology, everything that you need for easy accessibility but not more.
With the built-in setup for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Prologue boasts a standard digital 11-inch driver display with an impressive 11.3-inch infotainment display.
If you are a CRV fan, you should know the Prologue is about 8 inches longer and 5 inches wider than the most popular CRV SUV. It is 192 inches long and 78.3 inches wide with a height of 64.7 inches.
Meanwhile, the CRV is 184.8 inches in length, 73.5 in width, and 66.2 inches taller. Well, the CRV is taller but not bigger than the standard Prologue. This electric SUV lies somewhere between the Honda Passport and the Honda Pilot.
Trim-Specific Tech Features
In 2024, the Honda Prologue is about to debut with three trim levels- Elite, EX, and Touring. As we all know, features are trim-specific. Standard features common in all trims are a 360-degree camera, wireless charging pad, smart entry, and push-button start.
Some exclusive features are allotted for the top trims such as the OLED display for the dashboard, Wi-Fi connectivity, and self-parking tech. Below are the trim-specific key features,

How Far Will the Honda Prologue Go?
At first, we didn’t know much about the Honda Prologue. Recently Honda revealed that the 2024 Honda is likely to receive an EPA-estimated range of 300 miles, i.e on a single charge. The company also announced a steep number of new specs for Honda’s first all-electric SUV.
As proved by the test, the 2024 Honda Prologue can reach up to the highest speed of 130 MPH. The SUV will lead the all-electric segment of Honda with a powerful battery. It is likely to have a cable for fast charging, ideal for Level 1 and Level 2 stations.
The electric motors are located above the back wheels. The electric SUV can efficiently generate 325 pound-feet of torque and 340 horsepower.
How to Pre-Order the Honda Prologue 2024?
The Prologue will launch in early 2024. The base price starts in the upper $40,000s. However, the electric SUV may even qualify for $7,500 federal tax incentives. You can expect the base Prologue to sell for around $48,000 (+/- $1000). The high-end models fall into the premium range.
The 2024 Prologue will range between $48,000 to $58,000, based on trim levels and optional driving styles.
Since the launch date is in early 2024, we expect the Prologue shipment to arrive in authentic Honda dealerships in January. To get a hold of your Prologue trim, contact an official Honda dealership near you and reserve your favorite Prologue.
The Prologue is available in Mercury Silver Metallic, Raven Black, Scarlet Red Metallic, Snowfall Pearl, Pacific Blue Metallic, and Sonic Grey Pearl.
However, it will take time to distribute all Prologue colors in every authentic dealership. Initially, the most common ones will be available – Mercury Silver Metallic, Raven Black, Scarlet Red Metallic, and Pacific Blue Metallic Prologues.
Call any nearby Honda dealerships and confirm your favorite color and trim. For example, one of the early platforms to book a prologue was the David McDavid Honda of Frisco. You can book the Prologue Touring, EX, or the Elite with them, available in 6 different colors.
Plus, both AWD and 2WD wheel drives are available in David McDavid. Similarly, you can find several other platforms that would offer authentic Honda Prologue in 2024.
Why Should You Pre-Order?
The Honda Prologue 2024 is the first-ever all-electric vehicle of Honda. The hype is real! So, if you don’t book your Prologue on time, you may have difficulty getting your hands into one.
That’s why, you should place your reservation and order one beforehand, so you have your Prologue on hand.
Overview
The Prologue is just the starting. It is part of Honda’s plan to introduce 30 new EVs globally by 2030, with an estimated sales volume of 2 million vehicles.
The 2024 Honda Prologue shows you only a peek into the future of EVs by Honda and it’s going to be a huge sale!
This electric SUV is larger, and we have high hopes that Honda is going to sell a lot of them. It is high time Honda stepped into the world of electric vehicles whereas most of Honda’s competitors have already set their footprints into the EV world.
However, Honda took some time in R&D, so now is the time to hit back. Utilizing the GM technology for the structure is interesting. But we couldn’t see more of it, since Honda and GM are not working together.
We believe the Japanese automaker will develop something unique independently, with a more long-term solution. Keep an eye on our blog and news section, as we will update you as soon as Prologues are available for sale in Honda dealerships.
Have you reserved your Prologue yet? If yes, let others know where you booked one. Your answer will help others to look for their proper Prologue.
