What makes them America’s most favorite? Keep reading to find out!
1) 2024 Honda Accord
Among different Honda Models, the 2024 Honda Accord stands with one of the high-selling volumes. The Accord has been on the run for nearly five decades. Till now, as records say, almost 20 million units of Honda Accord have been sold all over the world.
In 70 years, the Honda Accord has successfully implemented 10 generations to meet high consumer demand. In 2023 Honda Accord officially launched its 11th generation.
A Brief Overview
The 2024 Honda Accord is a midsize Sedan by Honda. If you are new to Honda, the first Sedan to cross your mind would be the Honda Civic Sedan. The Honda Accord competes equally with the Honda Civic.
Often official Honda dealerships will help you with the right insights about the running trend of both models. The Honda Accord is a favorite of millions of people with 181,483 units sold in 2023, with the highest peak in sales in the year 2014 (Only US sales figure is 388,435).
The Accords add exceptional value to your lifestyle. It develops quality and improves safety with a breathable cabin and a fun riding experience.
If you have more than four people in your family, you can easily fit into the Accord. The car can accommodate five people in total, including the driver. That’s why Accord has been a family-standard vehicle all along.
The beautiful passenger vehicle comes in 6 trim levels. They are LX trim, EX trim, Sport hybrid trim, EX-L hybrid edition trim, Sport-L hybrid trim, and Touring hybrid trim.
The most popular one is the EX Accord. The engine is of high-performance value and efficiency. The 1.5L I4 turbo engine is quite impressive. And the front-wheel drive is standard for all trims. It starts with a base price of $31,005.
Another reason why people prefer the EX Accord more is due to its ideal fuel economy. The model delivers a moderate fuel economy that’s suitable for daily commutes or even to have a long drive on the highway. It estimatedly delivers 29 MPG in the city and 37 MPG for the highway roads.
What We Like About the Honda Accord?
- Comfortable cabin with more room to breathe.
- You have a smooth ride with the right performance you need for the road.
- Like the rest of the 2023-24 models, the 11th generation also comes with all the updated safety suite and driver-assist technologies, standard for all.
What We Don’t Like About the Honda Accord?
- A turbocharged engine is a must to have nowadays. It meets the regular demands with high performance in most situations and also saves you from fuel costs in the long run. But the Accord lacks one, all its key rivals have turbo engines to start with. Take the Honda Civic for an example.
- We really believe it’s time to launch a hybrid version of the Honda Accord. As many of the Honda models are getting a hybrid lineup, why should the Accord be left alone? Plus, the hybrids are an excellent choice to exchange fuel modes and indulge yourself with diversity on the road.
Customer Feedback
“ It’s a pretty solid ride ”
My Honda Accord has a black exterior and black leather interior. The sound system is awesome! The drive is smooth. Very comfortable seats. I love the lumbar support, on the driver’s side only. The Roomy trunk and the trunk liner/mat are a plus! No regrets about purchasing this vehicle!
According to Edmunds, the Accord is rated 4.2 out of 5, based on 37 real-life reviews. About 68% of people rated the car a 5 star while others are associated with mixed reviews.
2) Honda Pilot
Now! The Honda Pilot may create some confusion in your head at first glance. A rumor goes around that, the Honda Pilot is a luxury car. However, it isn’t refined enough to offer users an entry-level luxury car. Plus, it’s not even too generic to feel like an economy class!
Unlike the Honda Accord, the Pilot started late in April 2002. It started as a 2003 model year. In 21 years, more than 23 million Pilot units were sold with the least sales unit in 2009 (83,901 units) and the highest sales units in 2018 (159,615 units). Reports are USA-based only.
Currently, the fourth generation is running in the market and it is considered the biggest and most powerful SUV in Honda history.
A Brief Overview
It’s a three-row family SUV and to this day, it remains one of the most popular and familiar family SUVs in the United States of America. The SUV exceeds both with its industry-led combination of off-road mobility and on-road dynamics to meet the sporty demand.
Currently, the 2023 Pilot model year is present in the market. We don’t believe we will get a change or new generation anytime soon in 2024, because the fourth generation just released in early December 2022.
The 2024 Pilot is an amazing all-around family van. The car features are top-to-class and will assist you with a classy look in front of your relatives and friends. The large cabin is comfortable for passengers and grocery bags to any travel luggage you may want.
Additionally, the fourth-gen Pilot is equipped with modern safety elements, with a reported industry-leading safety rating.
It comes in 5 unique trim levels. They are Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Elite. Controversy remains regarding the most favorite Pilot trim. Top four car critics suggest that, the EX-L and TrailSport. On the contrary, accumulated data says otherwise that a high segment of consumers prefer the Elite Pilot.
Meanwhile, the Touring earns a name for itself too. It has become a favorite choice to many due to its affordability with proper efficiency.
The 3.5L Touring V6 engine comes with standard front-wheel drive with an option for all-wheel drive. It can approximately deliver 19 MPG in the city and 25 MPG dedicated to the highway roads. The price of the Touring starts at $50,375 base price.
Take note that the car is not only for your family, get the pleasure to take your relatives and friends on a comfortable ride with full family onboard! The Pilot can accommodate 8 passengers in total.
What We Like About the Honda Pilot?
- The roomy cabin creates scope for added comfort.
- Seat configurations are really flexible and set for your entire family and relatives.
- Unlike most of the rivals, the Pilot comes with more off-road capabilities.
What We Don’t Like About the Honda Pilot?
- Almost all modern cars are associated with wider and larger touchscreen infotainment for better navigation and easy accessibility. However, the Pilot features a comparatively smaller touchscreen compared to its key competitors.
- The pilot fuel consumption stands between 5 and 10% of the regular full load amount. This amount is needed constantly for the straight diesel operation. It remains on line throughout the load edgeline. However, with a gas shortage, the amount will vary. Well! Let’s accept it, it’s not the most fuel-efficient in its class.
- We believe the Pilot is not getting the proper limelight due to the lack of versatility. A lot of families love the Pilot but it still doesn’t have any hybrid version. Take the example of the CRV, in 2024, the Sport-L, a hybrid version is about to launch and it has already delivered a buzz among the US people.
Customer Feedback
“ Happy driver ”
Comfortable and powerful V6 with lots of features and amenities, great for carrying people and stuff, Very happy with our Honda Pilot Touring 2022
On Edmunds review, The Honda Pilot is rated 4.1 out of 5. Many consumers suggest double-checking the features and test drive the car before purchasing it. Around 65% of people gave the car a 5 star, other reviews are mixed and controversial. Well, not good not terrible!
3) Honda CRV
Recently, one of the two Honda cars that have been on trend is the Honda CRV, and the other one is the Civic, amongst its category.
The Honda CRV was one of the primary cars to launch in the ’90s. The first-generation model was first introduced in 1995 in Japan and some other international markets. Back then, it set new standards of definition for compact crossover SUVs. Learn more about compact Honda cars here.
However, it wasn’t until 1997, the CRV became available in the US market for sale. Honda deliberately took some time to introduce the CRV models in the North American automobile market.
Honda CRV and the Civic was based on the same platform. At first, the CRV came in just one trim and that’s the LX. It was powered by a 2.0-liter engine.
A Brief Overview
Another all-rounder on our list and that’s the Honda CRV. Currently, it is one of the best-selling SUVs in the US market. Take a look at the sales figures! In 2023, a total of 325,160 CRV units were sold.
The car had the highest number of sales in 2019 with 384,168 CRV units and the lowest sales took place in 2005, with 150,219 CRV units. For the last 25 years, the Honda CRV has been the best-selling SUV in the US. And ever since 2027, the CRV consistently emerged as the winner for the best-selling model every year in the US.
One of the reasons to sustain this improvement is because the CRV constantly works on upgrades and progress. The roomy cabin and wide cargo space are all set for a comfortable and smooth ride. The vehicle is a 5-seater, adequate for family travels.
Plus, the SUV has progressed significantly in fuel economy too! In 2024, the model is preparing for the launch of its new trim – The Sport L Hybrid trim. It will come with a 204 HP 2-motor hybrid powertrain.
The new hybrid will be mounted with the 2.0L direct injection Atkinson engine, including an electric motor and e-CVT. We believe we are waiting for something fantastic to happen with the Sport L trim. A few critics have already passed their judgment on the new trim saying, it’s a smooth bridge between the CRV Sport Hybrid and the Sport Touring Hybrid.
The 2024 Honda CRV will feature 6 unique trims. They are LX trim, EX trim, Sport Hybrid trim, EX-L trim, Sport-L Hybrid trim (new), and Sport touring hybrid trim.
Although the Sport-L trim is in talks, the EX-L AWD earns the credit as the most popular CRV. It comes with a 1.5L I4 Turbo engine and standard All-Wheel Drive. The EX-L will deliver you an estimated 27 MPG in the city and 32 MPG for the highway roads. The base price starts at $37,485.
What We Like About the Honda CRV?
- The design is impressive and sophisticated.
- Every trim is built with quality materials.
- You get a smooth ride on the city and the highways too.
- The hybrid models are pretty fun to drive with sporty performance and cost-effective fuel economy.
What We Don’t Like About the Honda CRV?
- The car is the best from our perspective. However, still some people label it for not as fun to drive as its rivals.
- Although the car gets Honda’s regular warranty coverage, people say some key competitors offer a longer warranty with bigger touchscreens.
Customer Feedback
“Best SUV”
I have always driven a Honda CRV and bought a new one a week ago. Love the ride, it’s smooth, comfortable and I like all the features. No one can compete with the quality even with fancy features that you see in new cars these days.
The CRV gets 4.5 out of 5.00, according to Edmunds rating. Accurately, 75% of people rated the car with a 5.00 star, and 12% of people gave a 4. The rest of the people had mixed opinions.
4) Honda Civic
Another best-selling car in the USA is the Honda Civic. The first time the Honda Civic debuted was in 1972. It was a strange time! Americans had just started to listen to Carole King’s records.
For a country where people were getting crazy over roller skates, the Japanese Civic Hatchback felt like a wonder trick! It was equipped with a 1.2 liter engine and it offered everything at that time that other cars couldn’t deliver.
Now 50 years ahead, the Honda Civic still dominates the small car market of the USA. Goes the same for the 2024 Civic sedan and hatchback. The car just had a total remodeling in 2022 and was labeled as the North American Car of the Year in 2022.
Now it’s almost 2024, the Civic remains one of America’s most popular hatchbacks.
A Brief Overview
We have a strict assumption that the Honda Civic 2024 will continue to lead the compact car segment next year too! The legacy shall continue after 56,10,604 units of sales. The Civic had the highest number of sales in 2017, with 377,286 units.
It now profoundly leads the compact car segment with exceptional value and rides with joy! Americans had to say, it is one of the low-cost transportation. However, unlike the 5-seater or 8-seater Hondas we have mentioned above, the Civic is a 4-seater vehicle.
It is available both as a hatchback and as a sedan. The choice is yours to take. You can learn more about the difference between a Honda Hatchback and a Sedan here. The Civic is available at 8 trims in total. Talking about combined trim levels for Civic Sedans and Hatchbacks.
The common trims for both models are, Honda Civic LX, Honda Civic Sport, Honda Civic EX, and 2024 Honda Civic Touring. The most popular one is the Honda Civic Sport Sedan.
The trim comes with a 2.0L I4 engine and it’s standard front-wheel drive. It is equipped with CVT and delivers an estimated 30 MPG in the city and 37 MPG for the highway roads. The base price starts at $26,645.

- Honda Civic Si and Type R performance models are two of the elegant Civic trims and are more fun to ride and drive.
What We Don’t Like About the Honda Civic?
- The car is a real Trump! But Honda hasn’t introduced any hybrid version of the Civic yet!
- The Civic LX, Sport, and EX-L trims offer a standard 7-inch trim. It’s a bit small compared to its competitors, right?
Customer Feedback
“Wonderful job, Honda!!”
The Civic is a bigger vehicle than my CX5, hard to tell from the exterior though. It has a longer measurement & bigger EPA interior space! Very roomy inside, with generous trunk space & 2nd-row legroom. It drives like a bigger car now but still retains the peppiness of the older generation. Transmission is a CVT, but it’s responsive & well-tuned, no complaint here. The suspension is sporty & calculated to reflect its design, expect a bit of hardness here though. But the cornering capability of this vehicle is awesome. The turbo engine is powerful & responsive enough to make the driver feel confident in most of the driving scenarios, highway passing, or average cruising. It saves gas, a lot… only consumes 65% of my CX5’s city driving mileage.
Based on Edmunds’s review, the Honda Civic gets a 3.8 out of 5.00. 49% of people are highly impressed with the car and gave the Civic a 5 star, and 15% of people gave it a 4. Others shared their mixed combination of reviews.
With the broad spectrum of users, we can expect the reviews to be a combination of positives and negatives, right?
Overview
